Just back from Wakefield were the Talk a…
Just back from The Art House (Wakefield) were the Talk about the windows went very well. The listeners were artists too, including two textile or two glass artists ( one local and one from Leeds).

Privilège que cette visite de ton oeuvre. Privilège pour le coeur et l’âme. Comme de visiter une église avec les vitraux de Chagall. Suis silencieux, à tout regarder, comme dans une prière, moi qui ne suis plus membre d’une église. Nathalie, quel voyage, quelle expédition, ta vie et ton art…

Cette oeuvre a permis d’intégrer l’esprit de la communauté de Grimthorpe et c’est la simple representation de personnes corps et âmes qu’ils retrouvent dans ces vitraux qui les touchent . Ceci me semble une approche radicalement différente des anciens vitraux puisque cette oeuvre vit avec son temps et ses habitants.
J’aime particulièrement la partie representant les colombes et la vierge marie et son enfant. Ce qui fait également sa beauté c’est la simplicité des couleurs utilisées.
